Wilson Farmers Cooperative was established in 1949 when a group of 35 Wilson County farmers came together with a shared goal of creating a cooperative where they could purchase farm supplies at better prices. After organizing, selling $1 memberships, and incorporating with the help of the University of Tennessee Cooperative Extension and Tennessee Farmers Cooperative, the Co-op opened in a small building near Lebanon's public square. As membership and business grew, the cooperative expanded its products, relocated twice to larger facilities, and continued investing in its future through the support of local farmers. The current location on Babb Drive opened in the early 1970s and marked a new chapter of growth with expanded retail space, fertilizer and feed services, and a tire center. More than 75 years later, Wilson Farmers Cooperative remains committed to serving the agricultural community while staying true to the vision of the farmers who founded it.
